One free breakfast and lunch will be available to all students
during the 2026-27 school year!
 
Summer 2026
Beginning on Monday, June 22nd, Child Nutrition Services will be providing one free breakfast and one free lunch to students enrolled in the District’s instructional school day programs provided through RBUSD or RBEF summer school programs (Credit Recovery, Enrichment, ESY) and the ELOP/RAS program. Meals will be available in the cafeteria at each summer school site. Students can get a free breakfast before the start of their summer school session and a free lunch during their break time. 
 
Children (18 years and under) not attending one of the District’s instructional school day programs, may also receive a meal by visiting a Summer Meal Site. To find, save, and share nearby meal sites, you can download the CA Meals for Kids mobile app, call 1-866-3-HUNGRY, text 914-342-7744 with the keyword “Summer” or click here to find the nearest location. 
 
Fall 2026
Beginning on Wednesday, August 19th, Child Nutrition Services will once again be offering one free breakfast and one free lunch to all students at their school site through the 2026-27 school year as part of California’s Universal Meals Program. 
 
The 2026-27 Meal Application will be available on Wednesday, July 1st.

2026-27 Meal Service
One free breakfast will be available before school and/or during the students’ break time. One free lunch will be available during the students’ scheduled lunch time. Meals will be pre-plated with a main entrée and side items. Student will be able to select from a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables from the salad bar. Students also will be able to select their choice of milk and/or juice.
Elementary students can state their first and last name to the staff at the point of sale system to receive a breakfast and/or lunch. In an effort to speed up the lines, Middle and High School students are encouraged to bring their student ID with them to receive their meal or to purchase a la carte snack and beverage items. A la carte snack items cannot be charged to a student’s meal account if the account balance is $0 or negative.
Child Nutrition Services is cashless. Please ensure your student has a positive balance on their meal account to purchase a la carte snack and beverage items. If a student uses cash to purchase snack items, change will not be given. The remaining funds will be added to the student’s meal account.
 
2026-27 Meal Applications
For the 2026-27 school year, RBUSD will participate in California's Universal Meals Program for all school children. Throughout the upcoming school year, each student is eligible to receive one free breakfast and one free lunch each day at their school. Through the Universal Meals Program, applying for free and reduced-price meal benefits is not required, but is strongly encouraged. Completing a meal application will provide additional funding for the district and may provide other household benefits including SUN Bucks EBT funds, exam and application fee waivers and other discounted costs. LINQ Connect
We’re excited to inform you that our meal payments portal, TITAN Family Portal, has upgraded to LINQ Connect. There’s no need to change your username and password, all your information has already been transferred to the new app.
 
Here are some exciting upgrades to expect:
• A simple, fresh look to allow for better accessibility
• An interactive dashboard to view all family members in one profile
• A resource center to access help guides
• Streamlined menus required you to click less to do more
 
Visit your app store and find “LINQ Connect”, available in the Google Play Store now and the Apple store (available soon), to download the new app and enjoy these new features. Just log in with your existing username and password. If you use a browser, visit LINQConnect.com to log in. If you don’t use our online meal (and/or school fees) payments portal, LINQ Connect allows you to set up one-time or recurring payments for your student’s meal. You can also view previous transactions, set spending limits, transfer funds between students, set low balance notifications, and more. It’s an easy way to manage meal payments without the hassle of sending cash.
