Measure Q Bond Committee

On the November 06, 2012 Election, Measure Q, a $63 million bond measure, was successfully passed by 63.4% of the voters to complete the investment in our classrooms, infrastructure, and facilities by improving student access to computers and modern technology, making energy efficiency improvements throughout the District. The election was conducted under the provisions of Proposition 39. To satisfy the accountability requirements of this proposition, the Board must appoint a Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC). It is the charge of the CBOC to oversee the spending of bond proceeds and the construction projects for the life of the program. The goal of the committee is to assure the public and the Board of Education that the bond funds are spent in accordance with the bond measure and Facilities Plan. Staff support will be provided by the Office of the Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services, Director of Maintenance and Operations and Construction, and the Chief Technology Officer.
