Re: Invitation to submit an Application for the Measure Q Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee

On November 6, 2012, Measure Q, a $63 million facility improvement bond measure, was successfully passed by 66% of the voters. The election was conducted under the provisions of Proposition 39. To satisfy the accountability requirements of this proposition, on March 12, 2013 the Redondo Beach Unified School District Board of Education approved the formation of the Measure Q Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC). This committee meets a minimum of 4 times annually.

We are inviting interested citizens to apply for membership:
  • 1 person active in the business community
  • 1 person active in a senior citizens’ organization
  • 1 person active in a bona fide taxpayers’ organization
  • 1 person who is the parent or guardian of a child enrolled in the district
  • 1 person who is both a parent or guardian of a child enrolled in the district and active in a parent-teacher organization
  • 2 positions may be selected if applicant does not have any of the above listed qualifications
The application form is also available from the web site at www.rbusd.org under Measure Q Bond Committee Application.

Please submit your application by October 31, 2020 to Dr. Annette Alpern, Deputy Superintendent of Administrative Services, RBUSD District Office, 1401 Inglewood Avenue, or email [email protected].
