Sexual Harassment

The Governing Board prohibits sexual harassment of any student by any District employee, student or other person. Board Policy 5145.7, Sexual Harassment (Education Code 212.6), Senate Bill 1375.

The Redondo Beach Unified School District is committed to an educational environment in which all children are treated with respect and dignity. Each child has the right to learn in an environment that promotes equal educational opportunity and is free from discriminatory practices. Sexual Harassment is a violation of Title IX of the Education Act Amendments of 1972, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the California Education Code Sections 210 through 214, inclusive.

The District strongly condemns, opposes and prohibits sexual harassment of students whether verbal, written or physical by ANYONE in or from the District.
