Purposeful Technology Use in RBUSD

RBUSD is committed to using technology in ways that support learning, not simply increase screen time.

Our goal is to provide the right technology, for the right purpose, at the right time. Technology should be purposeful, developmentally appropriate, teacher-directed, accessible, and balanced with hands-on learning, discussion, movement, reading, writing, and collaboration.

We are continuing to review how technology is used across grade levels, evaluate district apps and programs, and strengthen expectations for high-quality instructional use.

We look beyond minutes alone and ask: What are students doing, why are they doing it, and does the technology improve learning or access?
