Violence Prevention Action Committee (V-PAC)

 Violence Prevention Action Committee (V-PAC)

Committee Overview

The overall goal of the Violence Prevention Action Committee (V-PAC) is to prevent violence and reduce, if not eliminate the occurrence of violent incidences in and around schools within the Redondo Beach Unified School District (RBUSD).

The mission of the V-PAC is to create a safe, nurturing environment free of physical violence and emotional harassment that encourages all students to learn and develop skills that promote a positive school climate.

In order to support the mission of the V-PAC, the committee seeks to address the social, emotional and physical needs of the whole child, provide opportunities for positive youth development and promote student and staff safety at school, at home and in the community.

These goals are accomplished through the implementation of proactive board policies, focused staff development and participation and education of students, staff, parents, and community partners.
