Welcome . . .

Thank you for visiting the Human Resources Homepage.

The Redondo Beach Unified School District is an innovative, dynamic school district that is committed to the development of the whole child.  To achieve our goals, we seek out individuals who are likewise innovative and dynamic and who share our deep commitment to whole child education.

Since its unification in 1993, The Redondo Beach Unified School District has built an outstanding reputation for creating student-centered programs and continually improving academic achievement.  We enjoy the participation of a very active and involved community of parents, in addition to a variety of community partners who share and support our goals for our students.  That synergy makes the Redondo Beach Unified School District an exceptional place to work.

The District is comprised of 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 1 comprehensive high school, and alternative and independent study high schools.  Student enrollment in the Redondo Beach Unified School District has continued to grow steadily in recent years. With a current enrollment of approximately 9,800 students, the District expects eventually to serve over 10,000 students for the first time in its history.  Bond measures supporting new and improved facilities as well as 21st century technologies for the classroom ensure that RBUSD will keep pace with continued growth and change.

Redondo Beach is primarily a residential community with a population of 67,815 in an area of 6.35 square miles. Located along the coastal edge of Los Angeles County, just twenty miles from downtown Los Angeles and seven miles south of Los Angeles International Airport, Redondo Beach has been a preferred resort destination for more than a century.

Significant concentrations of employment and retail activity include the northern industrial complex anchored by the Northrop Grumman Corporation campus; the Harbor/Pier area; the Galleria at South Bay area regional mall anchoring the east end of the City; and an eclectic mix of specialty shops, restaurants and services known as the Riviera Village area in the south end of the City.
