Measure C Bond Committee

On the February 5, 2008 Election, Measure C, a $145 million bond measure, was successfully passed by 66% of the voters to improve facilities at our schools. The election was conducted under the provisions of Proposition 39. To satisfy the accountability requirements of this proposition, the Board must appoint a Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC). It is the charge of the CBOC to oversee the spending of bond proceeds and the construction projects for the life of the program. The goal of the committee is to assure the public and the Board of Education that the bond funds are spent in accordance with the bond measure and Facilities Plan. Staff support will be provided by the Office of the Chief Business Official, and the Director of Maintenance and Operations and Construction.
